Concept

On 12 May, the Global Fleet Conference 2021 will take you on a journey around the world in 12 hours.

Why?

First the ‘around the world’ bit. Now more than ever, global fleet management is about acquiring knowledge, sharing best practices and understanding the dynamics – not just of the global fleet ecosystem, but also the various regional fleet marketplaces.
And the ‘12 hours’ part? Because there is lots to do, and time is precious!
You can’t have global fleet management success if you don’t understand the different market realities and maturity at regional and local level. That’s why the 2021 Global Fleet Conference, will deep-dive into Asia-Pacific, Middle East & Africa, Europe, North America and Latin America.

How?

For each region, we present an on-demand Regional Stream, which will provide you with all you need to know about the Fleet & Mobility industry in that particular region.
This year’s conference will be centered on the Global Fleet Session. This live event will feature the most influential experts and leaders in the corporate fleet industry. They will share their knowledge and vision about global fleet management – both for today and in the future.

GLOBAL & REGIONAL STREAMS

Discover the programme

Regional Stream Asia-Pacific (APAC)

Asia-Pacific is in many respects the most complex fleet region to manage. The countries are diverse, with many differences in culture, supplier offerings and business preferences. And then there are the fast-developing megacities, which pose particular challenges. All of that makes integrating APAC into a global fleet and mobility programme difficult, but not impossible. In this session, you will learn how to approach APAC as a fleet and mobility region.

Regional Stream Africa Middle East (AME)

AME is a fleet region that can be divided in three distinct areas: the Middle East, where there’s a lot of attention for innovation and technology; North and South Africa, where vehicle fleet management and leasing have reached a mature level; and Central Africa, where it’s extremely challenging and often impossible to implement best practices as they are current in Europe and North America. But AME is a fleet and mobility region with a promising future. In this session, you will learn to understand the key characteristics of the AMEA fleet region.

Regional Stream Europe

Together with North America, Europe is the world’s most mature fleet region, although the variety of countries across the continent also implies variations in maturity. Today, European fleet managers are looking to combine cost efficiency with CO2 reduction, fleet electrification and new mobility solutions. In this session, you will learn how to innovate your vehicle fleet and mobility strategy across Europe.

Global Fleet Live Session

Global Fleet Management involves overseeing and managing a vehicle fleet in multiple countries in multiple regions. And where managing a fleet in one country and one region can already be challenging, managing a global fleet is exponentially more difficult. To do this successfully, you need a good dose of strategic insight, combined with excellent fleet management skills and last but not least, a fair bit of emotional intelligence. In this session, you will get insight into the skills, the savoir-faire and the best practices of global fleet management, today and tomorrow.

Regional Stream North America

Together with Europe, North America is the world’s most mature fleet region. It’s characterised by its preference for open-end leasing and it has predominantly a tool-of-trade fleet with pick-ups, trucks and vans. For these fleets, maximising the utilisation rate is key. But the market is also open for initiatives in fleet electrification and has an appetite for connected tech and telematics. In this session, you will learn how to set up a future-proof fleet programme for North America.

Regional Stream Latin America (LatAm)

Cost efficiency is the number 1 priority of fleet managers in Latin America. But achieving this is not easy in a maturing region like Latin America, where you are advised to look beyond the search for economies of scale and quick wins. In this session, you will learn how to develop a fleet management programme that brings benefit for both the company and the employees.
